Bolts of Love has agreed to aid the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants International Institute of Erie in creating a great FIRST Thanksgiving experience for 18 NEW to the USA families.

Baskets will include
Turkey (10-12lbs)
5 lbs potatoes
Homemade or canned cranberry
homemade or store bought pumpkin pie
A dozen bread rolls
Cooking instructions

If/When we receive more than we need for these 18 families the ‘extras’ will be made to create baskets for other immigrant families that are being supported by the institute. Are you a pie maker? Could you make a couple? Grab an extra bag of potatoes your next grocery run? Drop off at Unity in Edinboro Sunday mornings from 9:30AM – 12:30PM and Wednesdays from 6:-7:30PM. (If you are purchasing Turkeys please bring them Nov. 22 only as there is limited refrigerator space.)

We are also looking forward to the Holiday/Christmas season for these families. There are children from the ages of toddler to the 6th grade along with their families who will be experiencing the the Holiday Season in the United States for the first time. Any help creating a great FIRST Christmas is appreciated.

Below is the official invitation to help from the Institute, along with a list of items they always need. Jenn will be loading the car from Unity on Monday November 23rd to deliver all the Thanksgiving items and Monday December 7th to deliver any items/gifts you would like to contribute for Christmas. Help with this is always appreciated.

If you are out of town and would like to send Walmart and/or Amazon gift cards so that we may purchase what is needed for the families you may send them to
